I saw your comment at Becoming Sarah re: co-sleeping with a wiggly child and just wanted to say that that was our situation exactly! (Elizabeth started rolling at 3 days old... yikes!) You might be interested in our solution involving extending the bed, which worked really well for us.
Basically we took the side off our crib and strapped it to the bed. At first the crib mattress was level with the bed (that works well when they roll but don't scoot since they have the three sides of the crib to contain them). Later we lowered the mattress which made what we called an "Elizabeth trap". The post I linked to shows pictures (just click on the main pic to see additional photos). The picture looks like there is a crevasse between bed and mattress - we stuffed that full of towels.
Anyway, thought I'd mention it in case you were looking for a way to continue co-sleeping a little longer ;)
